Default First attempt

Clearly, not a traditional pattern! I struggled getting the various pick and mix of feathers to sit on the side of the shank I wanted it to. What's the trick to keep them in position?

The head turned out ok !

That's ok I'd fish that but maybe for perch

To get stuff to stay where you want it while you tie it in, start by learning the pinch and loop technique, covers most situations.

Was a bit skinny in the water.

I didn't catch on it ( but I never do ) and I didn't get to ear it as body art, so all in a neutral result!

Back to the vice!

This is the latest abomination to leave the vice.

To the novices and blind amongst you it may well appear to be a random collection of chuff wrapped around a hook.

It is in fact a perch

I can see the perch in it keep working away, you'll get there.

Chris.

Do you always tie them upside down?

That's not bad at all. You've managed the head and eyes very well. I'd fish it for pike or perch. I'd try dressing a tad thinner. Look up Clouser Minnows and try those.

It's just this phone, for some reason I can't save pics in landscape.
