If you want to use a bead horses you obviously want it to sink using a light wire hook would be unnecessary one with a slightly longer shank might be of help. Kamassan b175 are reliable and widely available. PJ

I use the Varivas 2120WB for a lot of my small nymphs with beads.
Great hooking and heavier wire then most of the Varivas range.

I go barbless. Partidge BIN from Lathkill goes down to an 18 and is a specialist nymph hook:-

Another vote for Varivas 2120 wave barbless. Use them for pretty much all my small beadheads and a lot of my dryflies. Only issue I have with them is a poor hook up if the fly is heavily hackled. Perfect for nymphs though!

I would agree with paddy5 - I use Kamasan B175 for all PTN tyings then crush or file the barb (or both)
