Default Hopper legs

Ive got some nice dyed orange peacock herl , question is could I use it for hopper legs ? Ive knotted a few pieces and it looks quite good to me .

Peacock herl Will work for hopper legs-but won't last long to trout's teeth I'm afraid. Pheasant tail fibres are much more durable. Flexi Floss or rubber legs even better.

I have been using Ultima Hollow 12lb floating monofil for hopper and daddy legs.

I pen it up when knotted. Works and looks great as well as being extremely durable.

Knot up legs with it in pairs and tie on.

Tied up a couple and you guys are right they won't last a crack far too flimsy and brittle . Still if I get one troot from each that will do me
Now off to buy some hopper legs this afternoon up at the GAC .

Jeez Wullie, Veniard do double knotted tails for less than a fiver. How long did it take you, and have you done two knots?

One knot Stuart,the orange Veniard ones i have are knotted too far back.Laborious i know,but beats welding on the nightshift
