Default March browns....but its august

Tied these two march brown variants seeing as its august, but it does feel like march where I am. The first one uses woodcock for the wings and a cream/fiery brown seals fur mix for the body. the second uses partridge for the wings and a hare mix for the body. Tied on kamasan B175's size 12.

Mark they are both very nice, but I think Mr. Navigator prefers the first one.

I don't know how you managed the head on the first, very neat. The wing has a lovely shape and the body is so subtly tapered. I also like the way the hackle mirrors the wing. Lovely looking fly.
However, for fishing, I'll take the second.

I'd happily fish either of them as my first ever trout was on a March Brown, but with a partridge hackle.
