Default Small hooks

I was fishing Wansford yesterday and had a great day stalking big rainbows in the margins but couldn't hook one at the inlet no matter what I tried. 4 others had a go and did no better.

After 5 mins of peering I assume it was rising to very small white flies.

I've tried size 18 kamasan traditional hooks before but I don't like the gape size. Is there a size 22 or 24 shrimp/buzzer hook?

I do believe you can get hooks up to size 32, but in grub/buzzer style I'm not so sure

Look at the TMC 2488 or 2488H (heavy) my most used hook for river fishing, goes down to #30 I think.
Shrimp & Caddis Pupa, Straight Eye, 3X Wide, 2X Short, Curved Shank

TMC 2487 is similar to a Kamason B100 and goes down to #18

Varivas curved shank 2200 go down to size 24 and their 2210 light weight curved shank goes even smaller and is available down to size 30.
Lakeland fly tying and Flytek stock them.

Can anyone recommend where to buy Tiemco hooks? Preferably someone on this forum please.

Thanks Darwin.

Google TMC Hooks UK as I don't know these companies.

Tiemco TMC Hooks - Fly Fishing Tackle Co UK
Tiemco hooks from Wharfedale Angling Classics

Thanks John, we must have been posting at the same time. I had a look at those hooks but couldn't find anything smaller than 16. I'll have a look at those sites.
