Here's a handy pattern for this time of year... A wee variant on George Barron's 'Hobbler' style of dabbler. Knocked a few of these up on 12's for last weeks Skye trip and nobbled a few wee browns on the hill lochs. Should be handy for a vague heather fly pattern when conditions aren't really suiting a dry imitation.
Use hen for the body hackle to allow it to get down, or palmer it with cock to fish high and dry...ish.
