Default Cartwrights high winged pocketfly

This one kind of came out of the blue but I was looking at a few clydestyle flies before I tied it and this was the result. Tied on a kamasan B175 size 12.

Looks quite good, Mark. That should take a few. Simple tie, but effective I would think.

Thanks alot everyone for your feedback, must admit with a name like that I was expecting very little interest and yes my mind has gone, must be the petrol fumes finally taking their toll.

Just a couple of coats of veniards varnish la jolla, let the first one dry first though, I use a needle head instead of a brush, but I must try a brush sometime out of interest. But I have thinned the varnish a bit with white spirit as it was getting too tacky, just a drop or so of white spirit does the trick.

Thanks Wullie just been looking at this fly again and think I should have used some bronze mallard fibres for the tail instead of the GP topping, think it would look more effective...ah well next time.
