Default Shirl's 75er

Something a little different for a change tied on a kamasan B175 size 12.

Shirl's 75er

Thread - claret
Tail - GP tippets
Body - scarlet seals fur
Rib - copper wire
Palmered hackle - creamy orange saddle hackle
Wings - loosesly cloaked bronze mallard
Throat hackle - darkly marked partridge feather tied in cloaked fashion

Thanks darwin, I know her, its my mother who's 75 today so I tied it especially for her, although she doesn't fish so I'll have that one...Happy birthday mam.

Ah youv'e heard of the magicians code falsecast? well there'e also a fly-tiers code, some secrets will never be divulged as paul daniels says 'now thats magic' well no there's a little trick I use with my maglamp which has a circular tubed lamp and thats what you see reflected on the head.

Dressing now added dabhoy maybe could have done with another neck hackle in there to filll it out a touch.

Chuffin eck who gave this 4 stars, surely not come on this is a huge mistake, a slip of the fingers or summat, this is not worthy givem to someone else more dserving

Will do Darwin, took her out for a nice lunch at an old watermill up the road, very quaint but I'm afraid she lost my attention for about half an hour as I was tryiing to work out what the strange looking fly was that landed on the window, possibly just emerged from the stream...ah well
