Default Woodcock greenwell

Yet another traditional fly, the woodcock greenwell, I would have preferred the wings a little less in length on the first one, the pearsalls no.3 is waxed and unwaxed on the second one. Tied on a kamasan B175 size 12's.

Very nice fly Mark. The shade you've got with the body is spot on.

Its just normal beezwax horses50 the one you get from veniards in a round tablet shape, one lightish pull through is enough, but if you want it darker run it through again. Too much wax can sometimes cause the fibres on the wings to separate when you perform the winging loop, some tiers don't actually use wax for this reason.
