Default Buzzer Question !

I would like to tie up some buzzers to try on the trout streams here. I purchased some Bug Bond and anxious to get started.

I know this is probably a stupid question but - What % of the hook should be allowed for the thorax? I have seen a lot of different tyings but what is correct ??

Thanks Guys

He's a good tyer, our Davy

(To some extent, the length and depth of the thorax is a matter of personal preference)

You'll find buzzers work well int the states. Tried some last summer in South Dakota and Washington. No trout, but lots of perch and some crappies, but the water in Washington was just too high for trout. Had a few fair sized smallmouth bass on them, though.

tie a few variations on thorax size, fish em, and let the trout decide what one is best!
