Copy the image 'url' - click the picture icon and paste the 'url' in the pop-up box. And pretty sure the fly will catch

well the truth is they are not real goldhead beads.

I got them from my mrs work and they are plastic which i am guessing helped lol. Also tied a hackle around the neck so again would make it float.

Will test it on wednesday when i go up the hills and see what happens as i used to have a goldhead that sank and boy that would catch the wild brownie fish but now i have swapped over to dry fly's elk hair caddis.

As i am still new i don;t know all the names of fly's so its just a case of trying what i have got and seeing if the fish take it.

Many Thanks

Graham

Cant fault being inventive and let us know if you catch with it but my preference would be for it to float with the hook bend underwater.

Look, have a go at very basic flies first so that you learn the mechanics of putting flies together. Then later on move to things like beads and stuff.

Here is a two thousand year old pattern that catches fish to this day, is simple to tie and easy to see. You will be able to make a dozen in half an hour once you have learnt the manipulations.

'Fraid I can't agree, Richard. He's doing the right thing getting beads and shit out of his system first, then progressing later.
