Default Gravel bed & Black gnat dries

A couple more traditional dryflies, the gravel bed uses lightly marked woodcock feathers for the wings, mine perhaps being a bit too well marked and the black gnat uses starling for the wings but mallard or any lightish grey feather would do, gone for a slimmer look to the wings on the back gnat. Both tied on size 14's.

Thanks troutheaven and darwin, just spent half an hour looking for a giant moth that fluttered into the room and can't find it, now I'm getting worried

Not to worry it wont attack you until your sleeping
Turn on one bright light, and it should make itself known. I have spent hours on crawling on the floor with a flashlight looking for loud chirpy crickets in the wee hours of the night. Not fun.

Great flies Mark-I Love tying the traditional patterns and at last getting the proportions right-it's only taken me Four years! Didn't used to worry about proportions,, but my catch rate has gotten better since I did.

I'm not too keen on those hooks. It might be just the photo but they make the thin bodies look small/ short. The hook looks more like one to use for a sedge pattern, its got a heck of a big bend which seems to make the dressing seem too small for the hook. Perhaps I am just being picky but I like to tye on traditional dry fly hooks. The hackles are good and the quality of the feather used is testament to that. Wings are very good, nicely posted and good curvature, a little thin on the 2nd one, I m probably just nit picking again. Well done.
