Default Rubber band Daddy

This is a daddy pattern tied with spanflex body or a narrow rubber band it pays to put some tying cement under and over the body to make it a bit more durable otherwise it wont last very long but it is a usefull pattern

Nice looking daddy that. The legs look great and I like the body to. Think I'll have a crack at that using hends quills for the bod

Chris.

Grand bit of tying there Jimmy. I can see it coming in useful fairly soon.

Nice Daddy.

Hadn't thought of using a rubber band. If you could find a fairly translucent one I suppose you could wind it tightly over different coloured threads.

I suppose that there would be an issue over the rubber perishing but in my case, I will have lost the fly one way or the other long before that happens

Are you turning over a new leaf Dave-imitative flies? Joking apart nice idea for the body-I've used them on bloodworms and nymphs, but never on daddies-might work well on hoppers, too.
