Default Hook advice please

Hello....any advice on hook gapes please?

Been tying up blobs with B175, size 10, but find that hook is often hidden by the fritz. Suspect this has lead to some losses.

Can anyone suggest a good hook with a larger gape than B175.....I think I've seen them suggested somewhere.

Thanks, Mebu

B160's and fulling mill short shank specials would be the ideal hooks. Both wide gape and short shank.

Forget a B160.get Kamasan B980 or if you want X strong get B982.the best blob hooks out there.I use 6's(fit's Int rules gauge) but 8 is a good size
Not tried the Steve Parton hooks.

The Steve Parton hooks are good but they are also quite heavy.

I only ever use Kamasan B980 or B982 or for some silly strong and sharp hooks the Mini Manta's.
