Hi Chromie, can't help you but let me know if you find out. That top pair looks lethally pointed, I could use some of those...my fine scissors are kinked at the tip due to a drop onto a tiled floor.

Will do dave. I have found out where they can be bought but its from an american site. Pete from my local fly tyers guild has a pair and they are top notch scissors for fiddly bits
Do you still want the link?

Dave here is the link. If you order from it let me know what the service is like

Cromie,

Marc Petitjean "own brands" some of the Rubis scissors - I have a pair (or two) of each of MP's small, medium and large ones - stocked in the UK by Lakeland :

http://www.lakelandflytying.com/39/Scissors.aspx

Scroll down the page - they are under the Dr. Slicks.

Excellent scissors - a joy to use ...

Kind regards

Phil.

They are lovely scissors, but did have a pair of the very fine ones snap, they appear to be very brittle

Matt

Try ebay search rubis scissors. It will bring you up a load of uk hits. Remember that these scissors were never designed for fly tying and that any where you see them sold in "fly-tying" they will have another £5 on the price tag. You should pay some where in the region of £15 a pair. That's what I paid for the fine pair that you were using.

Regards Pete

Bob

The pair two from the bottom are nail scissors and have fairly coarse points. I have a pair and consider them to be a good scissor they do not have the fine points like the first pair in Matt's original post. The site you are looking at is the site where I obtained my scissors. No doubt a quick email to them might make them consider stocking the fine points again. The model name for these scissors is "Colibri" Hope this helps.

Regards Pete

Pete no luck on ebay. The only place i can get them is from the swiss knife shop for $30 thats around £15. There is also some on lakeland but they are £24-£27 pound a touch. I'll just get the ones from lakeland and i found the tweezers on amazon the exact ones as yours, .

I have a whole new set of spankin new tools and a brand new snowbie waldron vice on the way for xmas

Snowbie Vice
Dr slick condura wallet
Tmc ceramic bobbin
Mark Petitjean dubbing needle (Will probably be **** )
Tweezer man body wax tweezers
Dr slick tweezers curved
Med rubis scissors all purpose
small rubis siccors curved all purpose
Dr slick micro tip scissors because i can't get the calibri rubis ones on lakeland.
C & F dubbling brush and needle 3in1
New hackle pliers.

All those tools will fit nicely in my dr slick wallet

Now the med rubis scissors are £27.50
small rubis sciossors are £24.50
Dr. slick Micro tip scissors are £10.50#
( FROM LAKELAND FLY TYING)

That just rips the **** out of it for 3 pair scissors like but im just gonna have to make do with that because i don't wanna order off a dodgy american site.
So hopefully somewhere in the uk sells some rubis scissors unless you wanna tell me your shopping secrets pete
