Default Still messing about

Having borrowed the wife's camera, stolen my son's anglepoise and scrounged help from all and sundry, can't wait to try and actually load a photo.
I've only discovered the Yellow Owl emerger a couple of months ago, but it certainly works for me.

I like that Bill -plenty of movement in the thorax and that slim body should hang down nicely

Thanks for the comments.
The thorax is a mix of olive SLF and Hares Ear, it has got a bit more sparkle than in the photo. I'm going to have to find a better light source or work out how to switch on the flash on the wife's camera.

Nice fly, I like it. I am guessing it sits real nice in the film.

In my very limited experience so far, it largely depends on getting the balance of the hook and the cdc right. When you get it right it looks great and the trout seem to agree.

Very nicely tied Bill, just a little less length on the CDC and it would be perfect but thats just my preference, love the nice slim body

Thanks.
You're right about the cdc - it looks unbalanced. I tie them long and trim them if necessary at the water depending on how they sit. However they then look rather unappealing.
Life would be so much simpler if the Good Lord had standardised ducks @rs3s.
