Fantastic buzzers,right up my street. I tye some very close to them but add my usual ostrich hearl over the top.

Sarg, the ostrich herl. Do you mean as a thorax, in front of it or what? I got some Ostrich Herl for Hawthorn Flies and having a lot left over was wondering what to do with it. How about a picture?

I tye orange ostrich hearl over the thorax as wingcases, but other colours would work. Gives the flies some life. I did do a thread on here(O H Buzzers). Have a look in the general forum also (Kennick and new phone) i put a pic up on there, but the thread has turned a bit into a barbed verses barbless thread thanks to some lol.

Nice buzzers Bill. The spiky thorax not only represents legs etc, but if gunked with floatant should at like a suspender buzzer.
