Default Sedge emerger question

Last week the trout at my local res seemed obsessed with taking sedges just as they emerged, I had a few half-hearted rises to a brown klinkhammer but it was a pretty frustrating day. So armed with some newly arrived quills and CDC from Lucian (thank you Lucian great quality gear and quick to arrive) I thought I'd have a go at some sort of emerger sedge. My question is have I got the horns too long in this #14 attempt and at what angle should they be?. Thanks in advance for any help you can give

nice emerger they look like they might zip up.
i tie them more on the sides and underneath.. maybe a tad shorter but like i said it is a nice little emerger.. should do the job another good one is a shuttlecock style with a long throat hackle, simple tie and does the job

Thanks for that, I'll tie up a few more and try to vary the length and positioning
