Exclamation Partridge Feathers

I see a lot of ties use brown partridge hackles or used for legs etc, where can I get the correct feathers and where on the bird do they come from?

Last where can I get them from?

For the best range and to get the best value I would suggest buying a full skin rather than packets.

Thanks for replies. Dressing ask for brown partridge as these from Hen or Cock. On Steve's site he suggests the cock skins are greyer.
Will Hen neck feathers still be ok for spiders?
Thanks.

I'd agree with dabhoy and emerger1981, I got a skin from steve at cookshill and have used loads of feathers off it and the birds still flying...now thats value for money

Red face Re: Partridge Feathers

Dare I say it but I rang Artifly last year and was assured he had dyed partridge feathers. I ordered 4 different packets and wait for it they arrived by return. They are v good quality and less delicate than Cookshill. They provide great colour combinations for the Raymond (Irish Variety viz what ever you fancy) and also for the Arrow Mayfly.
RING IN ADVANCE AND MAKE SURE HE HAS THEM IN STOCK If you have just joined the forum I will not go any further.
