I think you've managed it -they are sharp and contrasty, maybe a touch more depth of field and a little bit more light needed if possible but they look great.

I like the spider a lot - the thorax looks very buggy, but not overly bulky

Nice flies boorod, they look very grey on my computer though, but I am colourblind so don't take too much notice. What's the wing and hackles that youv'e used on them? thanks.

Lovely flies.

I like the grey background. It somehow brings out the essence of the fly (sorry, didn't mean to sound pretentious)

wingman the wing on the first is woodcock, the spider hackle is golden plover
still in the trials with the camera

but will get there(one day)

Love the tones and your choice of materials, but the top one feels a little undressed to me.... would be perfect merged with the spider.........
