I'm new to the forum and this has probably been discussed 100 times but can anyone recommend good saddles and genetic capes for under £20? I'm sick of chinese and indian capes but whiting and metz are, at the moment, too dear! Any help appreciated!!

sometimes it can work out cheaper to get one good cape with a large range of feather sizes on it especially when your looking for small feathers to tie dries with

Carrilon do half genetic capes if that's any help-around £11 or £12 if they still have any in stock as haven't bought any for over a year. A half cape will last an average tier for years so no point paying full price if you don't tie a large number of flies!

what is an average tier??

a half genetic cape for £11-£12 means it isnt a genetic or it was a very very bad grade one..
in other words you got done..
