I have only ever fished these once but after throwing every other thing in my boxes stuck one on and hey presto.
I have to admit it was a bought one and had no hackle but just like most tyers you just want to add another dimension when doing your own thing.

Lovely fly there, I don't fish these much but i know a lot of others who fish 'em and there favourite is a viva version...
