Default The Wimbledon Wasp

Saw this in T&S Dec 2007. Looking at the photo in the mag I think I've tied it to neat . Yer man (the author) got it and some other dodgy flies from a car booty in Wimbledon. Off he goes for his day on 'The Test' and after a fruitless few hours, checking no one was in sight-wopped it on .

Almost immediately caught a 3/4lb Grayling and four more similar size came quickly. Next a 2 1/2lb Rainbow. A 1 1/2lb wild brown is mentioned as well.

It's going to have a dip in the Windrush later this week

Thats...strange but i love it, well done, maybe put a black cock hackle on or something

Agreed...strange is right . I like it to. Apparantly the original was the size of a Hornet . Like your idea of a black hackle, I'll chuck one on for the MK2. Might dust the legs with a black felt tip as well.
