could any one here have the original receipe for tying the gorgous george as listed in the book irish mayflies

Davie McPhail does it on you tube. Try the Green George too

Away from home but from memory its -

Tag: Glo Brite no.4
Tail: Glo Brite no.10 (8 lengths of floss)
Rib: Gold Oval
Body: Bright Golden Yellow
Body Hackle: Yellow Olive
Throat Hackle: Orange Gineau Fowl
Legs: Knotted Orange PT
Front Hackle: Olive
Eyes: Jungle Cock
Thread: Orange (to create nice bright head)

I've been tying them this week so fairly confident that's close!

theres alot of variations about but im looking for the original receipe as paul dressed it if thats at all possible please heres alink to an old thread here Gorgeous Georgeand these are magnificent tyings also

That above recipes from Irish Mayflies, there is also another article I have on file that gives a bit more detail from FF&FT.

I'll amend any details above when I get back.

Recipe given with that of the Gorgeous George in Patsy Deery's book "Irish Mayflies" Will post it tonight--trying to kill weeds at the moment. Heading to Melvin on Monday for a few days so better earn few Brownie points

Here's one of the ones I was tying this week. Its as per the original dressing in Irish Mayflies other than the JC is dyed yellow.
