Default Vibrating Kate!

Here is a very familiar pattern with all anglers with a slight tweak in them. Will be doing more with mirage butts and whatever else comes to mind. I added the spanflex tails in to give the fly that little bit more movement in the water. I have had fish on both green and yellow tailed ones but have not tried the red yet but am pretty sure it will work as well.

Comments and ideas welcome.

Thanks, Euan.

Not one for the purists but an interesting idea, I just not sure how much movement it would produce if any compared to the classic tie.

Thought here only, easily dead wrong. But if the material (tail) is as stiff as it looks my guess is it will work like a 'rudder' and keep the fly from 'wiggling.'

If you want the fly to "wriggle" feed a small sequin onto the spanlex, or better still flexi-floss then tie an ordinary overhand knot in it behind the sequin.
