i had a Goddard sedge that ended up so chewed and bashed became a pellet flea,had its day sometimes

Hi Gazza
try the quarry near whitley bay just off the broadway
its about £3 for a day ticket .
best spot is below the carpark or between the islands
also killingworth lake has carp and pike at £2 for a day ticket
