Been playing around with some deer hair and a needle
soldier beetle,coch-y-bonddu,and a stonefly

Very nice - a tribute to great skill indeed. You posted a really nice JG emerger about a month ago - that had a great impression of life. So which do you fish with and where are you in the impressionistic vs ultra-lifelike spectrum?

Hi almost all of the flies i fish with are just normal dressings, or some of my own madeup. dont really fish exact imitations find they only work once or twice.
