Default Some sedges

Just tied a few sedges, well my version of the sedge fly anyway useing partridge for the wings, so when (if)this rain stops i might get out and give em a try.

The wing dartmoor navigatorr is made useing 2 wingslips from the wing of an english partridge (hen) you get some nice mottling on some parts of the feathers and thats what I was experimenting with for these sedges.

Hobble the hooks are FTB103's, you can get from Phil at fly tying boutique and the more sedgey looking one is the grip 14723BL which are for caddis, pupa and emergers (size 14 here), both very nice hooks to work with.

Thanks, yup not bad, slightly better than the teabags, not that I'm knocking the teabags as I've seen some excellent wing effects with those but its still nice to achieve it with the use of feathers.
