Yeah, try using hen pheasant wing, starling primary, white duck primary, oak turkey (only if you've got 2 opposing feathers) goose or swan fibres.
These are some of the easiest wings to tie in because the fibres are soft yet resilient & marry together well.
Avoid bronze mallard, blue mallard, hen pheasant tail and teal to begin with, since these regularly split to Hell, even when more experienced tyers use them!
