Default Barbless Spider/North Country fly hooks.

Hi folks,

Can anyone recommend a good quality barbless hook for wet Spiders/North Country fly patterns.

For my dries I'm using the TMC 103BL hooks, so looking for something of similar quality.

Many thanks

Simon

Daiichi-Alec Jackson North Country hooks. Good quality, sharp, available from the flytyingboutique .

Hi Chris,

I've just found a link from Lucian who has those hooks listed, plus these on this link:

D9626 BL Maruto Hooks

Are they the beauties to go for?

Cheers

Simon

Thanks for that info sainty, nice hooks think I'll be avin some of them, they look quite short on the shank unless it's the angle of the pic.

Hi Wingman,

I'm a complete novice at this tying malarkey, so will they do the job?

I'll tell ya when I've tried them

No to be honest I've tied spiders on fulling mill short shank specials and they dont look too bad. If Lucian's are short shanks then I don't see why they shouldnt be ok, I like the straight eyes on these also, well I'm gettin some any road.

Hi Simon,

The Maruto's look good-keen price for 100 to. I usually use the AJs but might have a closer look at Maruto. Thanks for the link.

Chris.

Hi Wingman,

Did you purchase any of these hooks from Lucian?
