Default Cuthbertson's whisky chaser

Tied this one on a kamasan B175 size 10, think it would probably do some damage on some of the larger scottish lochs, dare I say loch leven.

Thread - Pearsalls hot orange
Tail - GP tippets
Body - Golden olive seals fur
Palmered hackles - Golden olive and brown olive cock hackles (both wound at the same time)
Rib - copper wire
Neck hackle - badger neck hackle
Light cloaking of bronze mallard

(The head has 2 to 3 coats of varnish to give a glassy effect - that's the whisky)

Thanks for looking and all comments welcome

cheers

mark

Superb looking fly I would say that it will do some damage on Scottish lochs.

I look forward to hearing about its success.

Great fly - what's the origin of the name?

In the colonies where I grew up, a minimum half-a-bottle was the customary deoch-an-dorus
