Size Guide For Hackles?

Hi.

Can someone tell me, how do I know which size hackles to buy for different size hooks?

In particular I am wanting to tie parachute flies. Sizes 20-14.

And I have read that the barb of the parachute hackles, needs to be about 3/4 of the length of the hook?

Do I just buy any genetic cape? Or do I buy a packet of individual hackles, and if so what size?

Ive had a good look around, and Im a bit stuck.

That does look handy.

However, Having never bought a genetic cape before.

Do I just buy any one, and there will be many hackles on it, for all sizes of hooks? Is that what most people do?

Bearing in mind I'm just after hackles for sizes 14-20?

Its all new to me.

I recently posted a reference chart which gives a guide to what you get on which type of cape.
You won't find anything on an Indian or Chinese cape that will tie down to a 20 and will need to buy genetics.

I bought a mixed pack of these - you get 15 hackles and each one ties loads of flies
