Default Dilemma !!!

The comments made by Scratch on the thread shown below has got me thinking.
He has indicated I should resist the call to fish blobs and veer away from the Dark side.
I wont get into the ethics of fishing blobs, it has been done to death, but I would like to look at the dilemma it has thrown up.
I am to be part of a three man team representing my club. Obviously we are trying to win our way throught the heats to the final. So here it is, do I fish blobs and boobies to attempt to catch a limit of raw stockies or do I fish in a more imatative manner in the hope to bag an over wintered fish or two?
Not a big fan of the stockie bashing approach but should I put my personal feelings aside and fish for the team?
Another argument is to attempt to catch the overwintered fish and rely on them being of a better stamp and heavier in weight.
Whats your thoughts?

ATB
Graham

I would go down the imitation line. Blobs will catch stockies, imitations will catch the educated and stockies.

A true dilemma Graham. I don't fish Blobs, never have and I would not be confident in trying something new when others depended on me. Having said that if all the fish are coming to Blobs then that may be the way to go.

However if I was making the choice then I would fish my own way. At least then you have the confidence of fishing flies that you know are going to get fish.

Use the force, forget the Blob..

Good luck whatever you decide..

---------- Post added at 03:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:24 PM ----------

I have 2 answers - the washing line with dbs, crunchers and buzzers or, blob on the top dropper, cruncher in the middle dropper,db on the bottom dropper and booby on the point, the fish at the lake love slow blobs

Yeah mix it up. Having the looks of Princess Leia but the voice of James Earl Jones sounds sexy.

Aah... you never said it was a comp. That's a different kettle of fish. Simples - if yer partner is caning 'em on blobs.. and you're struggling, then get on 'em. Evening match though... could be merit in the more subtle approach. Don't forget, we're now in prime feeding time just about everywhere Graham. Go with the conditions and follow yer instincts mate, you'll be fine. Let us know how it turns out

Cheers Rob and Jimmy.
I will use the force.

Just finished 10 blobs, half a dozen yellow owl shuttlecocks, half a dozen small boobies, and about a dozen size 14 and 16 suger cube buzzers.
Getting on with some crunchers and a wee pearl spider I have been hammering the broonies with.
