Default HMH Vices

Hi Everyone,

I am thinking of buying a HMH vice, probably the standard. Before I commit I need some feedback. What are your experiences with HMH, I would appreciate any feedback, positive or otherwise.

Peter.

Good Morning Pete, well afternoon where you are. The HMH vises are very good, strong and will last your and your kids lifetimes.

Been using mine for years without a 'blink.'

Hi Pete,

I've been using an HMH Spartan for years & it's absolutely bullet proof. I'd say buy either the Standard, or Spartan with complete and utter confidence mate !!

All the best,

Rudolf

I have a Spartan vice and it is a well engineered solid vice.
I have however chipped the jaws but i think that was my fault and not HMH's fault.
I also emailed them in the states regarding the cork pads on the base and they sent me about a dozen FOC.

Great service!
I would recommend them

Lightbulb Re: HMH Vices

Forgot to add one thing to my 'recommendation.' Many of the HMH vises come with two size 'grippers' on the business end. The larger one is very good for hooks down to a size 8, below that hook size wise they're 'over-kill.' So if you order one up consider the size of the fly (hook) you'll be spinning, or get one of each for max flexibility.
