Fed up with the fn wind, so still tying, some olives

Lovely wee things boorod, the wind has been mental today, I wasn't brave enuff to wield my rod today, hopefully tomorrow night as some poor b%*"^$"s have to work bank holidays

I much prefer that pattern to your spinner. Round our way, that sort of no hackle snowshoe job is simply deadly - yet I've never seen another angler use one.
I have a similar pattern (but tied on a curved shank hook emerger stylee), and I keep it in the box for when a tricky fish refuses other offerings. It is almost always taken first pass - I have that much confidence in it.
