Boobies: Wing and Tail or just Wing?

Is a tail an essential element of a Booby, or do Boobies with just a wing seem to fish as well as those with a wing + tail?

I usually just put on a tail on it with dubbing or fritz on the body - no wing.

Wing on boobies that are meant to fish slowly, tail only on pulling boobies.
No wing just hackle on 2mm foam ones even if I pull them
Got some great red "Lite brite" body, black hackle, black tail ones for Bewl tomorrow

Chris, what size hooks are you using 2 mm boobies for?
