Default Modern takes on some classic spiders

Here i've tied some classic spiders useing different coloured beads to give them a more updated look and with the idea of maybe useing them on the smaller stillwaters rather than the rivers. These are all tied on size 12 hooks.

Thanks all for the positive feedback, some traditionalists might be slightly perturbed but the original patterns have been tweaked in many different ways through the centuries and you will never beat the simplicity and effectiveness of these originals......but hey we can always try.

I can guarantee Darwin they won't be tested today as its blowing a hurricane and I'm not stepping one foot out the front door until I see a crow fly at at least 30 degrees and not 90 degrees as they are at present.

Buck up cowboy, the fish don't mind a wee bit o wind! I did not realize you all had such windy conditions, they are complaining about it in Ireland also.
I have seen birds trying to fly in a hurricane, ( I grew up south of New Orleans) its funny in a sick twisted sort of way

Joe Warren did a wee book on tying with glass beads, an interesting take on the subject if you find it for a dirt cheap price or better yet free.
