Default First fly tied by you that worked?

As above, what was the first fly you tied that caught a fish. We all know the thrill of the first fish that fell for your creation, on reflection was it well tied?

Or/and what home tied fly caught you lots of fish in the early days, so much so you went home and tied loads more.

For me the breakthrough was the PTN tied by John Tyzac in his Small Streams dvd. Everytime I chuck it in something attacks it! I've got loads of them .

Tell us yours...

Chris.

GRHE was the first flea I tied to great success. I never had it off the point on my cast for years.

Bloodworm with pearl mylar ribbing.

After that, Spiders worked ( hence moniker ) , but nobody knew what they were on the stillwater i fished, and never tied them, even though i kept showing people these flies and catching more fish than them!

No pretense, a plain old and simple Tadpole. Black, orange, white...any coloured chenille which was available at the time.

Mine was really badly tied but it caught 4 rainbows in one outing - white marao tail, pink floss body and marabou in white as he wing, but the head was massive but it still caught...

My first "fly caught" fish was a small roach from Boreham Mere in Essex on a B & P Spider, shortly followed by a minute brownie from the river Leven in Cumbria on a march brown.
