Default Kites Imperial's

Well my dad asked me to tie him some Kites for the rivers so here they are.

Kites Imperial

Hook - #14 Dry
Tail - Brown hackle Fibres
Body - Heron Herl
Rib - Fine Gold Wire
Hackle - Brown Hackle
Thread - Uni Purple 8/0



Shuttle Kites Imperial

Tail - Brown Hackle Fibres
Body - Heron Herl
Rib - Fine Gold Wire
Thorax - CDC Dubbed
Shuttle - 3 x CDC feathers

Grand bit of tying Andy , for some reason your red hackle has come up very yellow/gold in the picture , just saw the forcast this wind is with us for the week 100 kmph expected tomorrow, I thought March went out like a lion not May . PJ

I just looked at alot of differnt pictures and most seemed to have the lighter brown hackle. Obviuosly this pattern IMO can be tied with differnt colour Hackles to match the flies hatching throughout the season.

One of the Worlds Greatest flies tied on a proper upturned hook
by one of the greatest fly tyers.No more needs to be said. C
