Default Hooks for Klinks

Please may I thank you all in advance for this advice. If I don't reply, it isn't out of ingratitude.

Now then boys and girls, could anyone advise me the best hooks for tying small klinkhammers, the Patridge ones all seem to be enormous in what ever size you get them.
Also is there any way of buying them in barbless form. If you could also give me some advice for where to buy them that would be good too.

Cheers.

Fulling Mill 'All purpose light', with the first third of the shank bent down at 30 degrees to form a kinked shank. In my experience you get more hook ups with this than with the usual curved shank hooks. Tie the wing post at the kink, this helps to lift the abdomen to a more natural looking hatching position. The straight shank also helps to more accurately represent the actual shape of the abdomen at point of emergence.

Fulling Mill 'All purpose light' 31180
Fulling Mill 'All purpose light barbless' 31190

Hooks you may already have: Kam 170, Fulling Mill 'All purpose medium 31550', slightly heavier hooks, but would be O.K.

I agree with Darwin, Kamasan B100's do the job just fine.

Proceed with caution, these hooks are physically bigger than the sizing would suggest. (Best look at 'em in a shop before purchase).

I tie my Klinks on Varivas 2200BL Black hooks, they offer a good size range and are a cracking hook, there abit expensive at around £4.95 for 30, but well worth it.

Tackled mini-klinks for a swap last year:

Phil Holding advised on Tiemco TMC 212Y's for the above, although perhaps not really true klinks, more of just a parachute emerger?
You'd need to squeeze the barb. Flytying Boutique - for unusual and interesting materials

I notice he now does these, although only down to 18:

Other stores available .

Daiichi do a Multi-use curved hook 1270 that is more like the profile of the Partridge 15BNX Klinkhammer Extreme in small sizes, you don't see these around much anymroe (Lakeland have them), again you'd need to squeeze the barb though.
