vice for £100-£150

hi everyone, been fly fishing and tying for just over a year now and have become hooked( terrible pun!!!)

been using a really cheap vice that doesn't have a good grip on the fly which ends up slipping when i do a whip finish. pretty annoying!

just come into a bit of cash at the expense of selling my motorbike looking to get a nice vice for £100 - £150 preferably with a parachute tying attachment. any suggestions. cheers andy

Personal preference would be a dyna-king kingfisher in that price range.

You shouldn't need a special attachment to make parachute flies these days, it's simply a matter of technique. Check out Davy McPhail on youtube.

My personal preference would be for the HMH Sparton, it's bullet proof like the Dyna-King. I think both vices offer good value for money.
I just know you'll be offered other valid suggestions though, vice choice is very subjective & I think you've chosen the most popular price range Andy

Another vote for the HMH Spartan - bombproof no-nonsense vice that is joy to use and will last for years.

Agree with Arkle. You can get it with the midge jaws if you just order it that way for the same price, and that is a great choice.
