Are those plastic eyes on the lime and red ones? I like using chain beads for a bit of weight (sink and draw style) on a lure or a point fly, and have tied some similar with plastic eyes for less weight, but have never actually used them. Do you put the bead chain on the point and the plastic ones on the droppers for casting/turnover purposes? I suppose if the point fly is sinking and drawing then the droppers will follow the same action to some extent. Do you find the dropper flies catch too?

Kingsmill Moore Bumbles they are not! Each to their own, but flies like that remind me why I don't fish small stillwaters!

Ben, I am reliably informed that you can catch fish on a small stillwater with a size 14 greenwells, and on a chalkstream with a size 10 wooly ******.

I agree, I fish small waters but prefer more natural tactics.

Look at america where they fish the opposite way, eggs fly and streamers on rivers and more traditional patterns on lakes
