Default fly drying stand

hi tied a few flys but struggled to find somewhere to put them while i applied lacquer and left them to dry.
so made this.
foam is the stuff that comes as insulation on back of plaster boards.
I used a junior hacksaw to cut the sections out.
just stuck to a bit of mdf.
THE FLYS IN PICTURE NOT TIED BY ME JUST USED TO SHOW STAND IN USE.Click the image to open in full size.

Hi DD

Congrats on sussing out the picture uploads.

When you come to displaying your own flies have a word with Scratch and buy one of his fly stands - real good looking and show the flies off well at a price you can afford.

The white card is a good idea but has been seen.

I use to use a section of pipe lagging. Where it is split I pushed on the end of my table. Only works on table tops or anything with a lip unless using drawers then just open drawer slightly.
i now have a vice with fly holder attached on stem.

I use the stoppers of whiskey bottles, they work a treat. Some makes are better than others so its worth getting a few different types
