This little thing took 10 fish before it got shredded at west house last year




Hook blob size 10
Eyes small hollow White beads
Body black deer hair
Tail Brown chenille 1-1/2 long
Boy do they hit it hard
Cast along the bank and slow/ medium jerked retrieve

Nice tying... but do you think the fish really take it for a mouse, or do they take it as a general lure with a good surface wake and movement in the tail? Reason I ask is that I've never seen a mouse swimming in the margins and I'm not sure why a mouse would want to!

Hmm. Have just remembered somebody having posted a photo of a trout dissection showing a couple of mice in its stomach...
