Default Had the same question Don.

In Washington State and British Columbia one of the 'fav baits' for Steelhead (gear chuckers) is a pink plastic worm (ala Bass fishing type) hung under a float. Very effective when you have a bolder strewn river bottom (so you're not always hanging up your lead weight).

Why Pink? Who knows, but the colour defiantly works better than any other. But back to that tail material ........ that done up as above with a "stinger hook" at the rear?

Oooooooooooo, that could be a killer combo.
