Default Strymph

There's probably a fly somewhere called the strymph but anyway this is loosely based on nothing, but it might give you an idea of what goes on in my head....not a lot by the looks of it. I would have liked a more tapered effect to the body but maybe next time....this is tied on a turrel larval hook size 10.(cheapskate)

Strymph

Thread - pearsalls grey
Body - grizzley marabou olive, only the downy parts of the feather used
Rib- fine strand of reel backing line
Thorax - olive and natural hare mixed
Thorax cover - dyed olive PT fibres
Throat hackle - dyed olive partridge hackle

Thanks for looking and don't be too hard on me

cheers

mark

I like the gill-like fuzziness of the body; suspect that the tout will too.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback on this one, must admit I didn't think it would attract much interest so it was a nice surprise but just goes to show I suppose.
