Default Naffoff fly

More experimentation again useing different combinations....ooh but isn't that what fly tying is about you silly boy....er yeah....I think.
Tied on an alan jackson north country hook size 17.

Thread - pearsalls grey
Body - brown goose biot
Thorax - natural hare
Hackle - very small snipe breast feather (actually more of a creamy brown mottled effect that doesn't appear to show up in the photo).

Naffoff fly (well its better than just naff)

Nicely tied. It would work very well as a midge imitation.

Looks like a really good fly to me, would work and rivers as well as stillwaters. Hell id stick it in the bath and see if anything might take it.

Thanks arkle and andypandy. If a nosey parker ever comes up and asks me what fly I'm catching all those big trout on I can tell him naffoff.
