Default Storage

I have very little space in the house for a dedicated fly tying bench so I carry all my materials and tools around with me in a large wooden box. Nice as it looks it weighs a tonne so can anyone recommend a lightweight box with compartments roughly 2 1/2 ft by 1 1/2 ft by 8 inches deep?

I use a Draper Expert 3 drawer tool chest, not the lightest but gets the job done nicely.

Draper 87986 3 Drawer Tool Chest Part No: TB584 - Draper available at Draper Tools

Materials and tools stored in a range of compartmentalised pklastic boxes from d-i-y shops and discount stores and all of it is carried round in one of those large blue Ikea carrier bags.
Not very pretty but relatively light and cheap!

A wander round your local Wilco might give some ideas.

I use one of these, lightweight if not the sturdiest

Wilkinson Plus - Plastic Storage - Drawer Units

Have you guys seen Zuca bags? (very large though)

Or Just Stow It bags and rucksacks? (perfect for fly tying)

Zuca bags are used by makeup artists
Just Stow It, usually used by painting artists on the move.

They're nylon bags with loads of compartments.
Zuca bags come on wheels as well.

I do a lot of travelling, in an out of hotels so like to take a little kit with me.
I own a Just Stow It Martin Martin.
I take several capes, flexi floss' dubbing, hooks with me away in the week.
It can fit a load of stuff into it TBH
