Hello Rod, "Dun" is a mousy brown-ish tinge that varies somewhat according to the base colour, for example a honey dun is normally a creamy gold colour that graduates to a darker centre. Whereas an olive dun is a sort of khaki colour with a darker list or centre. A blue dun, can vary from a pale grey with light overtones of gold to mid-brown to almost a dark slate colour with a central tinge of dirty brown. At least as far as hackle colours is concerned.
