Default A wee spider

Tied another little spider useing jackdaw again and some peacock herl, kind of looks like a little buggy thing. Tied on an alan jackson north country hook size 17.

I like the look of the jackdaw hackle on that spider Wingman. Whereabouts on the bird are you taking the feather from?

Thanks budgie, I know, the hackle fibres look very leggy, they're taken from the back of the neck area and quite small, so you'll need some patience

Thanks Wingman. Looks like jackdaw scalp/back of the neck would work a treat for waterhen bloas. Another call to Steve Cooper is on the cards

Well funny you should say that steven.....but no, I am a member of the RSPB you know, I don't go around shooting innocent little jackdaws....now cats thats another matter

Thats where I got my jackdaw from, excellent quality, never used it on the WB as I usually use the waterhen hackles, but I'll have to try it.
